A Keeper carrying support before, during, and after a journey.

You belong in the plan, too.

BDA · Before · During · After

Have something coming up that you know will take a lot out of you?

A BDA is a way to think ahead about the emotional, mental, and physical energy you may spend, and put care and support in place for yourself.

Already made a BDA before? Go straight to your plan.

Before. During. After.

We often focus on getting through the hard thing and forget what we need before it begins and after it’s over.

Before might mean a session, prayer, journaling, or gathering supplies. During might mean wearing clothes you feel good in, carrying a rock in your pocket, or deciding when you will leave. After might mean time alone, a run, or a special coffee.

Any of these can belong anywhere in your BDA. Your support can be anything that helps you, including asking another person for what you need.

Start with what you notice.

Picture what’s coming up. Notice sensations in your body, your breathing, and the thoughts that arrive. Be kind and curious about what they may be telling you.

Sometimes I don’t want to go means I don’t want to stay all evening. One client discovered she wanted to leave a party by 7 p.m. Once that was in her BDA, she felt okay about going.

You’ll choose support for each part of the experience, then receive a personal BDA card you can save to your phone and return to whenever you want.
