The Lantern Hour

The Lantern Keepers Society is where Lantern Keepers gather and stay connected. Each Friday, The Lantern Hour is where we come together live to enter an original fable and explore the human experience inside it through drawing, writing, conversation, and play.

The Lantern Hour is based on The Lantern Keepers Method™ and our shared remembering: I Am A Human Too.

The Lantern Keepers Method™

Play, not pathology.

The Lantern Keepers Method explores the ways capable, empathic people can lose contact with themselves while caring, achieving, understanding, and continuing to show up for everyone around them.

Stories are central to this work because they give us another way to understand ourselves. A character, image, choice, or moment inside a fable may help you recognize something from your own life without requiring you to analyze, diagnose, or explain it.

During The Lantern Hour, I read an original fable aloud and open the room for creative exploration. You may draw, write, listen, laugh, wonder, join the conversation, or let the story belong entirely to you.

This is where we practice including our own needs, limits, feelings, desires, creativity, and experience in the lives we are already living.

This is how we remember: I Am A Human Too.

Questions you may have

Before you join us

What is the difference between The Lantern Keepers Society and The Lantern Hour?

The Lantern Keepers Society is the community where Lantern Keepers gather and stay connected. The Lantern Hour is our weekly live gathering inside the Society. Your subscription gives you access to both.

What actually happens during The Lantern Hour?

I begin by helping us arrive and become present. Then I read an original fable aloud while you listen, draw, write, or follow whatever catches your attention. Afterward, there is space for conversation, creative exploration, and sharing. Every gathering takes its own shape through the story and the people who enter it.

Do I need to be an artist?

No. You do not need artistic training, special supplies, or confidence in your creativity. Bring paper and anything you enjoy drawing or writing with. What you create does not need to be beautiful, finished, or shown to anyone.

Do I have to turn my camera on?

Camera on or off is entirely up to you. You can join with your camera on and share, keep your camera off and speak through audio, respond in the chat, or spend the hour listening. You may also pass whenever you do not feel like sharing.

Will I be expected to share something personal?

You decide what you want to share and how you want to participate. You can talk about the story, share something you created, respond in the chat, listen to the other Lantern Keepers, or keep your experience to yourself.

What if I cannot attend every Friday?

Come when you can. Your subscription also includes the private Lantern Keepers Society community, earlier recordings and resources, and occasional recorded fables. Current live Lantern Hours are never recorded.

Is The Lantern Hour therapy or coaching?

The Lantern Hour is a creative community gathering based on The Lantern Keepers Method™. It is led by Alecia Suzanne, a storyteller, artist, embodiment facilitator, and integrative practitioner. It does not replace therapy, medical care, crisis support, or mental-health treatment.

How does the subscription work?

Your subscription is $49 a month. You can sign up, cancel, and come back whenever you are ready for another month of getting together. There is no long-term commitment, but I hope you stay a while.
